I am a qualified mathematics A-level teacher who also teaches mathematics to GCSE students online and around Hounslow/ Isleworth area for face to face. I graduated from the Panjab University in Mathematics – (master’s degree M.Sc.). Upon completing this degree, I did the Further and Adult Education Teachers’ Certificate from Richmond Upon Thames College where i obtained my Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I have other qualifications in Electronics Engineering, post-graduation in operational research and computer science. I am highly motivated to help students with their work and to help them achieve great results. I am methodical and thorough. I can also explain difficult concepts in different ways to help students understand and remember these concepts far better. I believe that after the theory is well understood, practice is key. Therefore, I believe that it is important to work through exercises and past exam questions together with the student. I have 30 years of classroom teaching & tutoring experience in schools & privately. I have taught students on numerous exam boards including AQA and Edexcel. I am happy to help any student studying for their GCSEs or A-level mathematics course. I have many successes in tutoring with most of my students receiving grades 7/8/9 at GCSE and grade A in A-level. In recent, years my A-level students have gone onto university courses in Law, Mechanical Engineering, Economics, Medicine and arts. My teaching philosophy is simple: to encourage my students to understand the underlying principles of a topic rather than just trying to memorise the facts. I try to make my lessons interesting, presenting the subject matter in many ways so that student can understand the topic in depth. I hope you will consider me in your search for a GCSE/A-level tutor. I look forward to hearing from you soon, and to having the opportunity of helping your son or daughter fulfil their own potential.
