I am a qualified mathematics A-level teacher who also teaches mathematics to GCSE students online and around Hounslow/ Isleworth area for face to face. I graduated from the Panjab University in Mathematics – (master’s degree M.Sc.).

Upon completing this degree, I did the Further and Adult Education Teachers’ Certificate from Richmond Upon Thames College where i obtained my Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I have other qualifications in Electronics Engineering, post-graduation in operational research and computer science.

I am highly motivated to help students with their work and to help them achieve great results. I am methodical and thorough. I can also explain difficult concepts in different ways to help students understand and remember these concepts far better. I believe that after the theory is well understood, practice is key.

Therefore, I believe that it is important to work through exercises and past exam questions together with the student. I have 30 years of classroom teaching & tutoring experience in schools & privately.

I have taught students on numerous exam boards including AQA and Edexcel. I am happy to help any student studying for their GCSEs or A-level mathematics course. I have many successes in tutoring with most of my students receiving grades 7/8/9 at GCSE and grade A in A-level.

In recent, years my A-level students have gone onto university courses in Law, Mechanical Engineering, Economics, Medicine and arts. My teaching philosophy is simple: to encourage my students to understand the underlying principles of a topic rather than just trying to memorise the facts.

I try to make my lessons interesting, presenting the subject matter in many ways so that student can understand the topic in depth. I hope you will consider me in your search for a GCSE/A-level tutor.

Allow me to thank Sue Schulkins for the wonderful work she has done with our son’s English classes. We have seen our son’s interest grow as the sessions have progressed. Before Sue started out with him - I noticed she gathered as much information as she could and she listened to us and even adopted some of our methods. She improved on them and added her own unique creativity. She was very unlike some teachers who would insist on using their own method - she never did that. She was able to find out from our son his expectations and discovered he loves unusually funny narratives. She incorporated this into her curriculum and we have seen such a marked improvement in his English comprehension. He is having fun during the English sessions and his work has improved.
