I was born abroad and the importance of education was instilled in me from an early age, I excelled in education and it was a natural next step for me to become a teacher. I have always been enthused by Mathematics and I teach the subject with a passion. I employ an interactive style, moulding my delivery according to the individual`s needs. I am working in a secondary school for the twenty seventh year and I specialise in GCSE and especially A level. I am familiar with an array of boards at both levels. My pupils' results have consistently been exceptional and I have a reputation amongst my peers as a strong practitioner with a high subject knowledge. I am happy to set homework questions to build upon the skills covered and will mark and give feedback on any work completed. In addition, I provide a plan of work to be covered for the term/ year after consulting with students and parents. I have been a maths tutor for a few years now delivering online & face to face lessons throughout the UK. Being forced to work at home during lockdown meant a change in my working practices. I have had the opportunity to develop my online teaching at KS2, KS3, GCSE & A-level with positive feedback from my students and their parents. I can use a variety of learning platforms through which to teach the lesson, making the most of technology to model any of the topics being studied. I am a fully qualified Biology A-level teacher who also teaches all Sciences up to GCSE. I am available to teach online via Zoom and Microsoft teams. I am also a private tutor specializing in Biology at A-level, Physics & Chemistry up to GCSE. Since qualifying as a secondary school science teacher, i have taught science in several secondary schools for a few years now. I enjoy spending time with the students and teaching is my passion. I follow the principle of work is worship. Inquiry-based approach learning will lead to fruitful results as I have witnessed it in my teaching profession. I follow the child-centered method of imparting knowledge and focus on activity-based learning in students, which builds confidence in them and helps in reinforcing the concept taught to them. My lessons are best described as interactive, supportive, and transparent as I actively encourage my students to have a voice in the classroom, ask questions when they come up, and participate in all conversations regardless of their level of confidence. I am happy to help any student studying for their GCSEs in any of the separate sciences and happy to help students studying A-level Biology course. I have had many successes in teaching with most of my students receiving grades 5 – 9 at GCSE since qualifying as a teacher. In addition to teaching, I enjoy Reading Novels and Music.
