I then retrained in Computing after returning to the UK, and now work part time as a Game Designer and Developer alongside my teaching. My tutoring approach is predominantly centred around essay practice. As this is the crux of both English Literature and language, together we will explore the optimum structure, language and content for GCSE essays. Independent practice essays created from the student’s exam Specifications will be set and marked by me, before being discussed and improved in the lesson. Being forced to work at home during lockdown meant a change in my working practices.
