Mahesh Badgujar-IBDP Physics, A Level Physics

IBDP, A Level Physics Teacher and Examiner
Mahesh Badgujar holds a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from COEP Technological University, Pune—one of Asia’s oldest and most prestigious engineering institutions. To complement his technical background with pedagogical expertise, he also earned a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from Pune University, graduating with distinction. With over eight years of full-time school teaching experience, Mahesh has taught Physics across both the IB and Cambridge curricula and Science across MYP, IGCSE curricula. He is passionate about helping middle school students truly understand scientific concepts rather than rely on rote memorisation. He focuses on building conceptual clarity through inquiry-based learning and real-life applications, which not only helps students achieve high grades in middle school but also lays a strong foundation for success in high school science. His strong commitment to academic excellence and deep subject expertise has earned him the rare distinction of serving as an international examiner for some of the world’s most respected curricula—including IBDP Physics HL, GCE A Level Physics, and CAIE A Level Physics—an achievement held by very few educators globally. Mahesh is deeply invested in continuous professional growth. He has successfully completed Category 1, 2, and 3 IB workshops, which speak to his thorough understanding of the IB philosophy and pedagogy. His commitment to collaborative learning extends beyond the classroom—he is an active Workshop Leader of SAIBSA (South Asia IB Schools Association) and MISA, regularly engaging with educators worldwide to share best practices and resources. During his tenure at Victorious Kidss Educares, an IB World School in Pune, Mahesh worked closely with students requiring Special Educational Needs support. He taught MYP Science and Design to students in small groups and one-on-one settings, particularly those with behavioural challenges and learning difficulties. He also guided two IBDP students with diagnosed learning disabilities. While initially challenging, this experience turned out to be a significant turning point in his teaching journey. With strong support from the school’s counselling team and coordinator, Mahesh deepened his understanding of differentiated instruction and behavioural strategies. This not only enriched his ability to cater to diverse learners but also strengthened his overall teaching methodology. Alongside his full-time roles in IB and CAIE schools, Mahesh has developed a strong reputation as an online tutor. He has worked with over 70 students from around the world, including those from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, the Netherlands, the UK, the USA, and Singapore. His students not only achieve excellent academic results but also genuinely enjoy his lessons—many even find his online sessions so engaging that they don't miss being in a physical classroom. Mahesh brings the classroom alive online through a high-quality, interactive setup. His sessions are conducted on Zoom or Google Meet, supported by an HD webcam, podcast-quality microphone, digital writing pad, high-speed internet, and interactive tools like Pear Deck and Mural. His approach blends technology and pedagogy to ensure a dynamic and engaging learning experience for every student.

Tomas Krojzl - English Language

Tomas Krojzl-English Language

Fully qualified English Language tutor at ESL, IGCE and GCSE levels
As an esteemed English for GCSE tutor, I bring over a decade of experience in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to a diverse range of students. My journey in education has been marked by a commitment to excellence and a passion for unlocking the potential of every student. With a solid foundation in psychology, holding a degree in the subject, I leverage my understanding of human behavior to tailor my lessons effectively. This unique perspective enables me to connect with students on a deeper level, reaching even those who may have been previously overlooked by other educators. My approach goes beyond conventional teaching methods, allowing me to engage both highly skilled and intellectually gifted students, as well as those who may initially appear less academically inclined or unmotivated. My track record is defined by success in fostering growth and achievement across a spectrum of student abilities. I take pride in my ability to inspire even the most challenging learners, turning potential obstacles into opportunities for academic success. This adaptability and dedication have led to remarkable outcomes in classrooms, where I have not only imparted knowledge but instilled a love for learning. Motivated by a relentless pursuit of success, I transitioned from a career in psychology to teaching English, drawn by the profound impact I could make in the lives of students. This decision was fueled by my belief in the transformative power of education and the fulfillment derived from shaping young minds. In addition to my extensive teaching experience, I bring a holistic approach to education, emphasizing not only academic achievement but also personal development. I am excited about the prospect of contributing to the success of your prestigious institution, bringing with me a wealth of experience, a passion for teaching, and a proven ability to make a positive impact on students' lives. I would like to end on a personal note that underlines what I mentioned in the paragraphs above in very specific terms. I have had a number of students come up to me after class over the years. The types of students who, whether in English lessons or in the school environment in general, did not do well at all. I have had these students come up to me and say that, for instance, I was the first teacher who ever truly believed in them or made them believe they could really achieve something in life. The experience was bittersweet, as some of these students were in their late teens when I received this great compliment from them. Nevertheless, these precious moments are actually the driving force behind my teaching. I have never had a more gratifying experience in my life, and this is what I ultimately aim for. Every year I teach, the list of such students increases, and my love for teaching increases along with it.
