I’m a highly experienced French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese & English teacher and have thorough subject and exam knowledge. I’m friendly, easy going and get excellent results through building good relationships with my students.

 I am a multilingual languages teacher specialising in the teaching of English, Spanish, French and Portuguese as foreign languages. I trained as a secondary school languages teacher in the UK and completed a master's degree in Research in Second Language Education from the University of Cambridge.

I have 11 years experience teaching children, teenagers and adults. I am enthusiastic, patient and caring. I enjoy passing on knowledge when teaching young people and guiding them to succeed in their studies by encompassing factors which foster their curiosity. As a result, my students become keen language learners and curious about different cultures.

I also enjoy teaching adult learners and help them become confident speakers of a given language in order to progress in their career or studies. I deem myself to have an international mindset as I have spent time studying, working and living abroad which resulted in developing further my language skills and develop professionally.

I encourage engagement in my lessons and wish to provide a space where students feel comfortable to ask questions or say they are unsure. Through continual praise and encouragement, I am well suited to be able to help students that are anxious or cannot grasp areas of their subjects.

I provide a plan of action for going forward and keep parents consulted on their child’s progress. I am also happy to set homework questions to build upon the skills covered in the lessons and will mark and give feedback on any work completed.

The platforms I use to teach online are Zoom and Microsoft teams.

The ability to experience each student’s progress at every stage is incredibly rewarding and a wonderful part of my role as a tutor.

My Daughter was Tutored by Aisha (Science Tutor), whose been amazing. Initially she had little or no confidence in her ability to achieve GCSE level and had lost interest in the subjects. Aisha took her on and her teaching style was perfect in building up my daughter's confidence, so much so she went from Grade 3 to achieving Grade 8 in all 3 Science subjects. Aisha was patient, compassionate, flexible in adapting her teaching style and pace to suit my daughter's needs. Allow me to thank Sue Schulkins for the wonderful work she has done with our son’s English classes. We have seen our son’s interest grow as the sessions have progressed. Before Sue started out with him - I noticed she gathered as much information as she could and she listened to us and even adopted some of our methods. She improved on them and added her own unique creativity. She was very unlike some teachers who would insist on using their own method - she never did that. She was able to find out from our son his expectations and discovered he loves unusually funny narratives. She incorporated this into her curriculum and we have seen such a marked improvement in his English comprehension. He is having fun during the English sessions and his work has improved. He is attentive and focused. Sue Schulkins is certainly a different kind of teacher and we are very happy with her work. Well done Sue.

My son worked with Katie Jackson for his GCSE Combined Science ( Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) and it made a real difference.
