I’m a highly experienced Spanish & French teacher. I have excellent knowledge in these subjects. I graduated from Staffordshire University with Masters Degree in American Studies & Spanish & a PGCE from Greenwich University.

I’m friendly, easy going and get excellent results through building good relationships with my students. I have been tutoring for 15 years. Prior to that i worked for the council in the Adult Education sector tutoring Spanish.

In recent times I have started running primary school language clubs in Northamptonshire. I have worked abroad in Spain and spent considerable time in France for leisure and work. Through my experience i have tutored children from primary school age up to A level and have 15 years experience in GCSE and A level tutoring and am also an experienced GCSE examiner.

In addition I have considerable experience in teaching adults, from complete beginners to advanced and i sculpt my lessons around individual needs whether for business, pleasure or academia. I am passionate about languages and they are an important part of our experience when we travel.

I love the diversity of the students that come to me for tuition and thus cater around their individual needs to ensure that they meet and often exceed their language learning goals. Languages are all about communication and establishing that through a good rapport with students is key to ensuring success and enjoyment and thus it leads to dialogue about individual needs and requirements.

I always ensure that students enjoy their language experience and feel that they can approach me with any question reference their learning. My lessons focus on assisting with the development of ideas and arguments that can be applied with clarity to exam questions.

I am particularly adept at helping students with their analytical skills, enabling them to showcase convincing judgements to examiners as well as perfecting their exam structure.

The platforms I use to teach online are Zoom and Microsoft teams.

The ability to experience each student’s progress at every stage is incredibly rewarding and a wonderful part of my role as a tutor.

My Daughter was Tutored by Aisha (Science Tutor), whose been amazing. Initially she had little or no confidence in her ability to achieve GCSE level and had lost interest in the subjects. Aisha took her on and her teaching style was perfect in building up my daughter's confidence, so much so she went from Grade 3 to achieving Grade 8 in all 3 Science subjects. Aisha was patient, compassionate, flexible in adapting her teaching style and pace to suit my daughter's needs. Allow me to thank Sue Schulkins for the wonderful work she has done with our son’s English classes. We have seen our son’s interest grow as the sessions have progressed. Before Sue started out with him - I noticed she gathered as much information as she could and she listened to us and even adopted some of our methods. She improved on them and added her own unique creativity. She was very unlike some teachers who would insist on using their own method - she never did that. She was able to find out from our son his expectations and discovered he loves unusually funny narratives. She incorporated this into her curriculum and we have seen such a marked improvement in his English comprehension. He is having fun during the English sessions and his work has improved. He is attentive and focused. Sue Schulkins is certainly a different kind of teacher and we are very happy with her work. Well done Sue.

My son worked with Katie Jackson for his GCSE Combined Science ( Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) and it made a real difference.
