I am a fully qualified & highly experienced English Language & Literature teacher and have thorough subject and exam knowledge. I’m friendly, easy going and have had excellent results by building good relationships with my students.

 I`m passionate about teaching and I will level up student`s language and boost their confidence when speaking a foreign language.

I started my teaching career back in 2016 as a Teaching Assistant, where my role was to assist the main English class Teacher in providing lessons to kids aged 3-16 years old. Then I was providing private one-on-one lessons for 2 years to kids aged 4-16.

I improved their English level for school and for further university study. I developed my own methodology and techniques on how to boost a student`s confidence to start speaking English, and effectively applied on the lessons with my students.

I tailor every lesson to the needs and requirements of the student to meet their goal. I plan lots of practice and educational activities during the lessons to make the study process more interesting.

I also make sure we revise the mistakes made by the student as it is very important to analyse and understand what to fix and where we are moving next! My main goal as a Teacher is to teach you English till the point when you can be fluent and confident in speaking English.

I believe that everybody can learn English as everybody requires an individual approach and techniques. My philosophy is to make every lesson comfortable enough to let the student relax and enjoy learning English!

My Daughter was Tutored by Aisha (Science Tutor), whose been amazing. Initially she had little or no confidence in her ability to achieve GCSE level and had lost interest in the subjects. Aisha took her on and her teaching style was perfect in building up my daughter's confidence, so much so she went from Grade 3 to achieving Grade 8 in all 3 Science subjects. Aisha was patient, compassionate, flexible in adapting her teaching style and pace to suit my daughter's needs. Allow me to thank Sue Schulkins for the wonderful work she has done with our son’s English classes. We have seen our son’s interest grow as the sessions have progressed. Before Sue started out with him - I noticed she gathered as much information as she could and she listened to us and even adopted some of our methods. She improved on them and added her own unique creativity. She was very unlike some teachers who would insist on using their own method - she never did that. She was able to find out from our son his expectations and discovered he loves unusually funny narratives. She incorporated this into her curriculum and we have seen such a marked improvement in his English comprehension. He is having fun during the English sessions and his work has improved. He is attentive and focused. Sue Schulkins is certainly a different kind of teacher and we are very happy with her work. Well done Sue.

My son worked with Katie Jackson for his GCSE Combined Science ( Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) and it made a real difference. The lessons were engaging and helped him get much more confident with tricky topics and exam-style questions.
