I am a fully qualified English Language & Literature and Drama teacher with a First-Class BA (Hons) in Drama and Performance from London South Bank University and a PGCE in Drama and English from University of Exeter.
I am an experienced tutor specialising in GCSE / IGCSE English Language & Literature, 11+ grammar School entrance exams, and Private School admissions tests. I also tutor GCSE Drama and A-Level Theatre Studies, supporting students in both subject knowledge and exam technique to help them achieve their highest potential.
I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring across the major UK exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, and OCR at both GCSE and A-Level. As a former examiner, I bring an in-depth understanding of how exams are marked, what examiners are specifically looking for, and how students can maximise marks by meeting assessment objectives precisely.
This insider knowledge allows me to teach students how to structure high-scoring responses, avoid common pitfalls, and respond effectively to command words and mark schemes. I provide targeted support with exam technique, coursework, and revision strategies, carefully tailoring lessons to the specific requirements of each exam board.
I also have several years of experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), I bring patience, empathy and a strong commitment to inclusive learning. Through my work, I develop a deep understanding of diverse learning needs and adapt teaching strategies to ensure every child can access the curriculum.
