I’m a highly experienced maths and all 3 Sciences tutor and have excellent subjects knowledge. I’m friendly, easy going and get excellent results through building good relationships with my students. I have classroom and tutoring experience of many years. I teach Biology, Physics & Chemistry upto GCSE level and Chemistry upto A-level.

This considers the level they are currently working at, target grade, their areas for development and preferred learning style. At GCSE, I build into each session past exam questions, including problem solving questions using the techniques learnt in the lesson.

I am happy to set homework questions to build upon the skills covered and will mark and give feedback on any work completed. In addition, I provide a plan of work to be covered for the term/ year after consulting with students and parents.

I graduated from University of Hull with a BSc in Chemical and Energy Engineering. Being forced to work at home during lockdown meant a change in my working practices.

I have had the opportunity to develop my online teaching at KS3 & GCSE with positive feedback from my students and their parents. I can use a variety of learning platforms through which to teach the lesson, making the most of technology to model any of the topics being studied.

I have 1000s of hours in tutoring KS3, GCSE and A-level students and helping them achieve stellar grades. Over the past 5 years I have become more than a tutor to my students, I see myself as a mentor and someone they can relate with and feel comfortable to come to with any academic problems.

I am very funny and laidback. As a younger tutor I find it useful to have an informal relationship with my students as they tend to feel more at ease and more receptive to my teaching. I prefer online tutoring, but I can travel in exceptions.
