I am a fully qualified and highly versatile educator with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students achieve their full potential. I hold a BA (Hons) in Business and Marketing Management and an MSc in Marketing from the University of Gloucestershire, alongside a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from Sheffield Hallam University.

My training and experience enable me to deliver engaging, structured, and adaptable lessons across a wide range of subjects and key stages. I specialise in teaching A-Level Business Studies, English Literature, and English Language, as well as supporting students studying BTEC and CTEC qualifications.

At GCSE and Key Stage 3, I provide comprehensive support in Business Studies, English Literature, English Language, Maths, Science, Geography & History helping students build strong subject knowledge and exam confidence. I also have extensive experience working with younger learners.

At EYFS and Key Stage 1, I focus on building strong foundations in phonics, reading, early writing, English, and Maths, while at Key Stage 2, I support students in Reading, English, Maths, and Science, ensuring they are well-prepared for their transition to secondary education.

My teaching approach is student-centred, supportive, and tailored to individual learning styles. I aim to build confidence, develop independent learning skills, and create a positive environment where students feel motivated to succeed.

Allow me to thank Sue Schulkins for the wonderful work she has done with our son’s English classes. We have seen our son’s interest grow as the sessions have progressed. Before Sue started out with him - I noticed she gathered as much information as she could and she listened to us and even adopted some of our methods. She improved on them and added her own unique creativity. She was very unlike some teachers who would insist on using their own method - she never did that. She was able to find out from our son his expectations and discovered he loves unusually funny narratives. She incorporated this into her curriculum and we have seen such a marked improvement in his English comprehension. He is having fun during the English sessions and his work has improved. He is attentive and focused. Sue Schulkins is certainly a different kind of teacher and we are very happy with her work. Well done Sue.
