I’m a highly experienced and qualified Maths teacher with QTS and have thorough exam and Subject knowledge. I’m friendly, easy going and get excellent results through building good relationships with my students. I am a passionate and dedicated tutor committed to fostering a love for learning in students of all ages.

I have a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCE) in Secondary Maths from University of East London with Merit. Prior to obtaining a PGCE, I graduated from with master from University of West London and a BSc in Computer Science from Plymouth University. I aim to create an engaging and supportive learning environment adapted to each individual's needs.

I hаve significаnt, lоng-term experience аt levels frоm KS1, KS2, KS3 & GCSE (KS4). I hаve enаbled students tо mаximise their оutcоmes аt аll оf these аssessment levels. Teaching is my passion – I endeavour to create a safe and welcoming environment, where questions are welcomed, and we learn that it’s okay to mistakes as it is part of the learning process.

When teaching, I hope to portray the view that although English can be a challenge, it is one to be revelled in. Individuals will make progress at their own stage, but it is important to seize the opportunity to take control of our learning and develop our knowledge.

I am a patient tutor and create lessons to the individual needs of each student. I endeavour to create a safe space where students can engage with the contents, offer opinions and ask questions. Parents are contacted frequently as I will provide updates about the child's progress to ensure they succeed.

The ability to experience each student’s progress at every stage is incredibly rewarding and a wonderful part of my role as a tutor.

My Daughter was Tutored by Aisha (Science Tutor), whose been amazing. Initially she had little or no confidence in her ability to achieve GCSE level and had lost interest in the subjects. Aisha took her on and her teaching style was perfect in building up my daughter's confidence, so much so she went from Grade 3 to achieving Grade 8 in all 3 Science subjects. Aisha was patient, compassionate, flexible in adapting her teaching style and pace to suit my daughter's needs. She's very skilled in breaking down the subjects to student level so they can grasp the concepts whilst maintaining their interests. Allow me to thank Sue Schulkins for the wonderful work she has done with our son’s English classes. We have seen our son’s interest grow as the sessions have progressed. Before Sue started out with him - I noticed she gathered as much information as she could and she listened to us and even adopted some of our methods. She improved on them and added her own unique creativity. She was very unlike some teachers who would insist on using their own method - she never did that. She was able to find out from our son his expectations and discovered he loves unusually funny narratives. She incorporated this into her curriculum and we have seen such a marked improvement in his English comprehension. He is having fun during the English sessions and his work has improved. He is attentive and focused. Sue Schulkins is certainly a different kind of teacher and we are very happy with her work. Well done Sue.

My son worked with Katie Jackson for his GCSE Combined Science ( Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) and it made a real difference. The lessons were engaging and helped him get much more confident with tricky topics and exam-style questions.
