Fully qualified English Language teacher
University of Nottingham: BA (Hons) in Modern Languages

Trinity College - London: Dip TESOL in Teaching English
The British Council - Singapore: Cert in Teaching Primary learners
I am a fully qualified teacher and a private tutor of English Language & Literature from Primary up to GCSE level, French, German and Russian from KS1- KS3. I also teach adults and am familiar with not only GSCE, but IGCSE, IELTS, PSLE, FCE, CAE and CPE exams. I also take students for elocution (accent softening, good communication and confident speaking).
I have over 15 years’ classroom teaching & tutoring experience in the UK & Singapore. I have been tutoring students online, according to the UK curriculum, for five years.
My lessons are both stimulating and very much tailored to the student’s needs as I assess each student individually and monitor his/ her progress carefully throughout the year. Parents are constantly kept in the loop, so they know exactly how their child is progressing.
I am passionate about my teaching, which in turn, ignites a passion in my students! It is so rewarding to teach a pupil who is both excited about learning and looks forward to his/her lesson!
One of my strengths is having a lot of patience and am particularly good with those who lack confidence or find the subject challenging.
I hope you will consider me in your search for a tutor. I look forward to hearing from you soon, and to having the opportunity of helping your son or daughter fulfil their own potential.

Allow me to thank Sue Schulkins for the wonderful work she has done with our son’s English classes. We have seen our son’s interest grow as the sessions have progressed. Before Sue started out with him - I noticed she gathered as much information as she could and she listened to us and even adopted some of our methods. She improved on them and added her own unique creativity. She was very unlike some teachers who would insist on using their own method - she never did that. She was able to find out from our son his expectations and discovered he loves unusually funny narratives. She incorporated this into her curriculum and we have seen such a marked improvement in his English comprehension. He is having fun during the English sessions and his work has improved. He is attentive and focused. Sue Schulkins is certainly a different kind of teacher and we are very happy with her work. Well done Sue.
