I am a fully qualified and highly experienced Science tutor with specialism in Biology. I can teach all three Sciences up to GCSEs and Biology up to A-level & University level and have thorough subject and exam knowledge.

Academically, I studied at Bristol University for my undergraduate degree in Medical Microbiology. I then went to University of Barcelona to do my Masters degree in Molecular Biotechnology where I graduated with a distinction.

I am available to teach online via Teams or Zoom and have ample experience teaching online to pupils of varying abilities and backgrounds, I am happy to help any student studying for their GCSEs in any of the three sciences and A-level Biology.

My lessons focus on assisting with the development of ideas and arguments that can be applied with clarity to exam questions. I am particularly adept at helping students with their analytical skills, enabling them to showcase convincing judgements to examiners as well as perfecting their exam structure.

The sessions are specifically designed for each individual student considering the level they are currently working at, target grade, their areas for development and preferred learning style.

I am also available to teach Science to KS3 students as I have sound understanding of the entire National Curriculum. My lessons are best described as interactive, supportive, and transparent as I actively encourage my students to have a voice in the sessions, ask questions when they come up, and participate in all conversations regardless of their level of confidence.

• Cambridge University ICE Data Science programme – 06/22 Introduction to Python code, data management and data visualisation
• Laboratory intern – Greenbean Scientific - 6/22 Project entitled: Development of treatments for the reduction of pre- and post-harvest waste of tomatoes caused by commercially important fungal pathogens. I maintained cultures and ran trials using vaporised antimicrobial treatments.
• Chef at various locations - 04/18- 04/22 Coping with stressful work environments and time management.
• Schlich and co. patent attorney placement - 10/17 During which I proofread scientific applications before being sent to the IPO. This developed my critical thinking and analysis skills.
• GP surgery placement - 09/17 Through observation I learnt about the human side of healthcare and the reality of working with patients.

I have a few years of tutoring experience and during these years, i have taught all major exam boards ie AQA, OCR, EDEXCEL etc. I find it reаlly rewаrding tо see а student reаch their gоаls аnd tаke pride in inspiring аnd cоntributing tо their аchievements.
