Fully qualified Primary School Teacher with QTS
Liverpool Hope University: Bachelor of Arts with Honours
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with QTS and I have 15 years of experience. I have a huge passion for teaching and find it most rewarding to see children progress and excel under my guidance.
I have taught students at all ages from 5 -12 in mainstream schools and have tutored KS1, KS2 and also preparing students for 11+ Entry Exams (Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning). I’m friendly, easy going and get excellent results through building good relationships with my students.
I hаve а trаck recоrd оf success аnd delivering results thrоugh privаte tutоring аnd аt clаssrооm level. I hаve significаnt, lоng-term experience аt KS1 & KS2 levels. Every child deserves an opportunity to reach their maximum potential.
I believe that if a child enjoys what they are learning then they will be motivated to listen, participate and ultimately achieve. I have a wide variety of experience working with SEND children and I understand that not everyone learns in the same way.
Teaching is about adapting your strategies to meet the needs of the individual. As a mum of two children with ASD I fully comprehend the stress and pressures that are put upon parents to engage their children in learning.
Therefore, I strive to create an enjoyable learning environment for your child to achieve their full potential and motivate them to want to learn. In addition to my work with SEND children I have a great deal of experience tutoring children in preparation for their exams, whether that is SATs or the 11+.
I taught year 5 and 6 for many years and my subject knowledge is very up to date on exam questions and expectations, particularly in maths and science. Whether it is about building up confidence or honing in those exams techniques I would love to help.
I have a gentle and friendly approach towards children and I always look for ways to help them make connections between the things they learn and for them to develop a love for learning. I believe that every child is truly special and unique. I have successfully tutored children with specific learning needs, as well as children that have English as an additional language.
All my students have made excelled progress in their studies, therefore most of my students come from personal recommendations of happy parents Supporting students reach their potential is something I find thoroughly rewarding.
The platforms I use to teach online are Zoom and Microsoft teams.
The ability to experience each student’s progress at every stage is incredibly rewarding and a wonderful part of my role as a tutor. I’m able to teach all core and foundation subjects in KS1 and KS2.
I look forward to teaching your son/daughter!
