I am a certified Mathematics teacher in both British Columbia and the United States, holding a Master’s degree with a focus on Mathematics education. I am IB certified and teach both AP and IB Mathematics, creating advanced lessons that push students beyond standard expectations in an engaging and interactive setting.

I collaborate with fellow educators to build a vibrant professional community and develop innovative assessments that keep students globally competitive. Beyond the classroom, I lead initiatives and organized events that empower students to develop leadership skills and have initiated STEAM programs through close collaboration with my colleagues.

Additionally, I provide targeted tutoring to enhance academic performance and foster responsibility, intellect, and individuality. I also deliver presentations and lead workshops for the Southern Regional Education Board, facilitating professional development and sharing best practices in education.

I have experience teaching the USA curriculum from grades 6 to 12 and the British curriculum from KS3 - KS5. I encourage engagement in my lessons and wish to provide a space where students feel comfortable to ask questions or say they are unsure.

Through continual praise and encouragement, I am well suited to be able to help students that are anxious or cannot grasp areas of their subjects. I provide a plan of action for going forward and keep parents consulted on their child’s progress.

I am also happy to set homework questions to build upon the skills covered in the lessons and will mark and give feedback on any work completed. Other than my MA in Maths and BA in Education, i also have the following qualifications in teaching:

  • British Colombia Teacher Certification (Mathematics )
  • United States Teacher Certification (Mathematics , Grades 4-12), 2008 Valid through June, 2028 automatically renews
  • Georgia Teacher Certification (Social Science , Grades 4-8)

Aisha took her on and her teaching style was perfect in building up my daughter's confidence, so much so she went from Grade 3 to achieving Grade 8 in all 3 Science subjects. Allow me to thank Sue Schulkins for the wonderful work she has done with our son’s English classes. We have seen our son’s interest grow as the sessions have progressed. Before Sue started out with him - I noticed she gathered as much information as she could and she listened to us and even adopted some of our methods. She improved on them and added her own unique creativity. She was very unlike some teachers who would insist on using their own method - she never did that. She was able to find out from our son his expectations and discovered he loves unusually funny narratives. She incorporated this into her curriculum and we have seen such a marked improvement in his English comprehension. He is having fun during the English sessions and his work has improved. He is attentive and focused. Sue Schulkins is certainly a different kind of teacher and we are very happy with her work. Well done Sue.

My son worked with Katie Jackson for his GCSE Combined Science ( Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) and it made a real difference.
