Motivated Science tutor with experience of  both online and offline tutoring to GCSE & A-level Biology and Chemistry. Recently, I graduated in MSc Cancer Biology with Distinction from Kingston University, London . Meanwhile, I was tutoring at an academy in Croydon. I taught general science and maths to students from KS1 to KS3, and GCSE and A-level biology and Chemistry.

Dedicated to fostering a passion for the sciences, I strive to motivate my students in their learning journey. Through personalized tutoring, I create a supportive and creative environment where students can explore the wonders of biology and chemistry. By utilizing effective teaching techniques and adapting to individual learning styles, I help students grasp complex concepts with ease. My goal is to instill confidence, encourage exploration, and unlock their full academic potential.

I am a patient tutor with an informal approach to lessons that I adapt to the individual need of each student. I am passionate about discussion in the subjects I teach to build confidence in my students, but similarly enjoy the process of trading ideas that helps to provide a fresh perspective to my own academic work!

I encourage engagement in my lessons and wish to provide a space where students feel comfortable to ask questions or say they are unsure. Through continual praise and encouragement, I am well suited to be able to help students that are anxious or cannot grasp areas of their subjects. I provide a plan of action for going forward and keep parents consulted on their child’s progress. I am also happy to set homework questions to build upon the skills covered in the lessons and will mark and give feedback on any work completed.

The platforms I use to teach online are Zoom and Microsoft teams.

The ability to experience each student’s progress at every stage is incredibly rewarding and a wonderful part of my role as a tutor. I look forward to teaching your son/daughter!

Aisha took her on and her teaching style was perfect in building up my daughter's confidence, so much so she went from Grade 3 to achieving Grade 8 in all 3 Science subjects. Allow me to thank Sue Schulkins for the wonderful work she has done with our son’s English classes. We have seen our son’s interest grow as the sessions have progressed. Before Sue started out with him - I noticed she gathered as much information as she could and she listened to us and even adopted some of our methods. She improved on them and added her own unique creativity. She was very unlike some teachers who would insist on using their own method - she never did that. She was able to find out from our son his expectations and discovered he loves unusually funny narratives. She incorporated this into her curriculum and we have seen such a marked improvement in his English comprehension. He is having fun during the English sessions and his work has improved. He is attentive and focused. Sue Schulkins is certainly a different kind of teacher and we are very happy with her work. Well done Sue.

My son worked with Katie Jackson for his GCSE Combined Science ( Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) and it made a real difference.
