Fully qualified Computer Science, Sports Science & PE, Teacher with QTS
Dedicated and passionate educator with a diverse background in Computing and ICT, currently serving as a Teacher of Computing & ICT with a focus on Digital Competency Framework (DCF) leadership. I am also an examiner for OCR, where I contribute to the development and assessment of Computing, ICT and Sport qualifications, and I serve as a consultant for Daydream Education, enhancing their computer science resources. With a commitment to fostering positive behaviour and culture in educational settings, I have completed my NPQ in Leading Behaviour and Culture and am a fully qualified teacher (PCET). My experience spans over several years in secondary schools, where I've successfully taught Computing and ICT, preparing students for the rapidly evolving digital landscape. I have taken two separate schools through the process of becoming Cyber First schools in UK. One in England and one in Wales. Before transitioning to education, I spent 13 years working in the secure estate within a private establishment, teaching Physical Education & Sports Science to young men aged 15-18. In this role, I harnessed the power of sport to empower and inspire my students, enabling them to create pathways for their future. My work was recognized with nominations for the Beyond Sport award, the Butler Trust award, and a finalist position for Prison Officer of the Year in 2015. My qualifications extend beyond teaching; I hold numerous vocational and academic credentials in sports and am IOSH trained. I possess a degree in ICT, as well as teaching, assessing, and verifying qualifications. I also act as an examiner and moderator for OCR across various qualifications, including Computing, ICT and Sport. My extensive background in both education and physical fitness uniquely positions me to make a meaningful impact on the lives of my students and clients alike.

Fully Qualified Computer Science Teacher with QTS
I’m a fully qualified Computer Science teacher with QTS and have thorough subject and exam knowledge. I’m friendly, easy going and get excellent results through building good relationships with my students. As a qualified Computer Science teacher with 5 years of classroom experience, I provide tailored online tutoring to help students succeed. I’ve worked extensively with both the OCR and AQA specifications, so I can support your child with the exact content and skills needed for exam success. I focus on building subject confidence, strengthening problem-solving skills, and developing the exam techniques that make a real difference. Lessons are engaging, structured, and designed to meet the individual needs of each student. Based in Sudbury, Suffolk, I now offer lessons in the local area or online sessions to all students across the UK. If you’re looking for professional, results-driven support for your child, I’d be happy to help. I graduated from University of Kingston with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and went on to do a PGCE in Computer Science and ICT at the University College London (Institute of Education). I am a joyful individual, passionate about teaching and learning in modern innovative ways. I encourage engagement in my lessons and wish to provide a space where students feel comfortable to ask questions or say they are unsure. Through continual praise and encouragement, I am well suited to be able to help students that are anxious or cannot grasp areas of their subjects. I provide a plan of action for going forward and keep parents consulted on their child’s progress. I am also happy to set homework questions to build upon the skills covered in the lessons and will mark and give feedback on any work completed. The platforms I use to teach online are Zoom and Microsoft teams. The ability to experience each student’s progress at every stage is incredibly rewarding and a wonderful part of my role as a tutor. I look forward to teaching your son / daughter!
