I am a fully qualified English Language & Literature teacher with QTS and have thorough subject and exam knowledge. I’m friendly, easy going and have had excellent results by building good relationships with my students. I can teach from KS1 up to GCSE level.
I am available to teach online via Teams, Zoom or Google Meet and have ample experience online to pupils of varying abilities and backgrounds. I have a BA (Hons) in English Language from Coventry University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Birmingham City University.
I have a few years of classroom & tutoring experience. In My lessons, we focus on assisting with the development of ideas and arguments that can be applied with clarity to exam questions. I am particularly adept at helping students with their analytical skills, enabling them to showcase convincing judgements to examiners as well as perfecting their exam structure.
I encourage engagement in my lessons and wish to provide a space where students feel comfortable to ask questions or say they are unsure. Through continual praise and encouragement, I am well suited to be able to help students that are anxious or cannot grasp areas of their subjects.
I provide a plan of action for going forward and keep parents consulted on their child’s progress. I am also happy to set homework questions to build upon the skills covered in the lessons and will mark and give feedback on any work completed.
The ability to experience each student’s progress at every stage is incredibly rewarding and a wonderful part of my role as a tutor.

I have a BSc (Hons) Economics and a Post graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE in Mathematics from Manchester Metropolitan University. I have taught Economics and Maths for 10 years in Secondary Schools & i have a great deal of A-level and GCSE classroom teaching and tutoring experience.
I consider myself to be an empathetic and patient teacher who is always willing to cater to the needs of the individual student. I am a good communicator and am able to explain complex issues in ways which allow students to develop the key skills needed for exam success.
I like to bring all my examining and teaching experience into play when tutoring as I believe the end game is fairly obvious in that my tutees want exam success. To that end I tailor lessons to the needs of the student in identifying areas of concern and weakness and advising on how to overcome these.
I am able to bring extra materials to classes, written to suit the demands of the new A-levels and to give the students that edge that might improve grade performance. Previous tutees have improved upon their expected grade performance.

In addition, I provide a plan of work to be covered for the term/ year after consulting with students and parents. I have been a maths teacher for a few years now in different secondary schools throughout the county. My roles within school have been varied and include head of KS3 maths.
In addition, I have also spent part of my career as a maths advisor within the school improvement sector, developing teaching and learning in a range of secondary schools. I keep up to date on all the recent changes in GCSE and A level maths Being forced to work at home during lockdown meant a change in my working practices.
I have had the opportunity to develop my online teaching at KS3, GCSE and A level with positive feedback from my students and their parents. I can use a variety of learning platforms through which to teach the lesson, making the most of technology to model any of the topics being studied.

I qualified from New Zealand have recently arrived in the UK. I have a degree in psychology alongside a masters degree in teaching, where my thesis was on maths anxiety. I am available to help tutoring any subject for any child up to 13 years old. I can also teach music theory to any level and can teach specialised phonics for students learning to read.

The platforms I use to teach online are Microsoft teams & Zoom. I have taught many students of different ages. I have helped them to grow in confidence in themselves and the subject. I genuinely care about my students and because of this, I work hard to help them achieve no matter what their circumstances are.
During my time at Cambridge regional college I showed that I was flexible with my working hours and also flexible with my subjects that I would teach. I taught BTEC Business to 16 to 18 year olds AAT Level 1- 3 in accounting AAT level 1 Business AAT level 2 Accounting software.
I achieved excellent passrates and progression numbers with my students. I helped students build on there confidence and employability skills and also improve in their Maths, English and functional IT skills.

I have a BSc in General Medicine and a MA in Acting. I have always loved science because there is always something new for example new disease, new technology to treat diseases and tests to aid in the diagnosis of disease.
My teaching style is centred around student questioning, probing and encouraging pupils to be analytical in their thinking as well as allowing them to feel safe to ask any questions that might arise in their minds. I feel learning must be personalised to every child’s needs and tutoring is an excellent opportunity for this.
I am happy to help any student studying for their GCSEs in any of the separate sciences. I became a tutor to help students achieve their goals whether it be grades or just wanting to become better at a subject.
I also want to help and support those that are struggling and help them overcome barriers so they can achieve their best and work at their full potential. I have 9 years of teaching and tutoring experience in various settings.
