Dr Hamza Liaquet-A-LEVEL - Maths & Physics

Fully Qualified A-LEVEL Physics & Maths Tutor.
I am a polite, patient and friendly DBS-certified Tutor, with a passion for teaching. I have a PhD in Fluid Dynamics (Applied Mathematics) from the University of Leads, complemented an MEng in Aerospace Engineering and an MSc in Fluid Dynamics from Queen Mary University. I have 6 years of Classrom experience and 1-2-1 tutoring. As such, I tailor the experience to make sure they reach their full potential. I also motivate my tutees in their study and demonstrate how both Mathematics and Physics are beautiful subjects in their own right. The courses I currently offer tuition in are A-Level Mathematics + Further Mathematics and Physics. I believe (and have witnessed) that each individual learns differently, and effective teaching comes from incorporating these differences.  I provide an environment for learning that is completely malleable to my tutees` needs. I encourage my tutees to steer each session towards their needs (and interests) – for example, particular difficulties with one topic or more detailed explanations and applications of another – which not only ensures that they maximize the efficiency of their learning, but also builds their confidence. I encourage engagement in my lessons and wish to provide a space where students feel comfortable to ask questions or say they are unsure. Through continual praise and encouragement, I am well suited to be able to help students that are anxious or cannot grasp areas of their subjects. I provide a plan of action for going forward and keep parents consulted on their child’s progress. I am also happy to set homework questions to build upon the skills covered in the lessons and will mark and give feedback on any work completed. The platforms I use to teach online are Zoom and Microsoft teams. The ability to experience each student’s progress at every stage is incredibly rewarding and a wonderful part of my role as a tutor. I look forward to teaching your son/daughter!

I could also provide resources for nursery and pre-school aged children if any parents would like to attend the sessions with their child and need distracting and support with additional children.
