I’m a highly experienced, polite, patient and friendly DBS-certified University lecturer/ teacher, with a passion for teaching Chemistry at GCSE, A-LEVEL and University level.
I have a PhD in Chemistry from The University of California San Diego – USA, hence, I have excellent knowledge in the subject. Being a lecturer means that not only do I have all the academic understanding and knowledge required to be a fantastic and thorough tutor, but I also sympathize with my tutees about the quirks and difficulties of educational Chemistry.
As such, I tailor the experience to make sure they reach their full potential. I also motivate my tutees in their study and demonstrate how Chemistry is a beautiful subject in it’s own right.
I believe (and have witnessed) that each individual learns differently, and effective teaching comes from incorporating these differences; I provide an environment for learning that is completely malleable to my tutees` needs.

At GCSE and A level I build into each session past exam questions, including problem solving questions using the techniques learnt in the lesson.
I am happy to set homework questions to build upon the skills covered and will mark and give feedback on any work completed. In addition, I provide a plan of work to be covered for the term/ year after consulting with students and parents.
I have been a maths teacher for a few years now in different secondary schools both local and overseas and I keep up to date on all the recent changes in GCSE and A level maths. Being forced to work at home during lockdown meant a change in my working practices.
I have had the opportunity to develop my online teaching at KS3, GCSE and A level with positive feedback from my students and their parents. I can use a variety of learning platforms through which to teach the lesson, making the most of technology to model any of the topics being studied.
