I am a private tutor for English Language at KS2, KS3 & GCSE levels.  I also teach adults and am familiar with not only GSCE, but IGCSE, IELTS, PSLE, FCE, CAE and CPE exams.    

I have over 15 years’ classroom teaching & tutoring experience in the UK. My lessons are both stimulating and very much tailored to the student’s needs as I assess each student individually and monitor his/ her progress carefully throughout the year.  Parents are constantly kept in the loop, so they know exactly how their child is progressing.

I am passionate about my teaching, which in turn, ignites a passion in my students!  It is so rewarding to teach a pupil who is both excited about learning and looks forward to his/her lesson!

One of my strengths is having a lot of patience and am particularly good with those who lack confidence or find the subject challenging.

As well as my experience in teaching English, I am an experienced actor with over 30 years experience in the profession. I won a scholarship to the Stella Mann School of Ballet in Hampstead, London when I was 10 years of age. I studied and performed ballet from the age of 2 until the age of 16. In addition to this I appeared in the films Bugsy Malone, House of the Long Shadows and Bean and starred in theatre roles and musicals in the West End of London such as:

Me and My Girl, All the Fun of the Fair, Hello Dolly, Annie, Oliver, Gypsy and The Greatest Wealth at the Old Vic. My TV credits include being the leading lady on the Benny Hill Show for 5 years,  Brush Strokes for the BBC and Give us a Clue and numerous television commercials.  I have appeared in these major theatre productions, An Ideal Husband, Gaslight, Private Lives, The Sound of Murder, Absent Friends, How the Other Half Loves and Shadow of Doubt.

I would love to share my knowledge of theatre, television and film with you, and teach you how to pass the audition and get the job!  This includes the understanding of stage presence, presentation skills, having excellent pronunciation, poise and positioning. This will give you confidence and clarity when performing on stage or at meetings at work when you have to present to your boss, team mates or when you go for an interview.
