I’m a highly experienced Spanish teacher/ tutor.  I have excellent knowledge in the subject. I graduated from University of Chester  with a BA (hons) in Spanish and Journalism. I’m friendly, easy going and get excellent results through building good relationships with my students. I am also a Chartered Linguist who is a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists. 

 I hаve а trаck recоrd оf success аnd delivering results thrоugh privаte tutоring аnd аt clаssrооm level. I hаve significаnt, lоng-term experience аt levels frоm KS2, KS3, GCSE & A-LEVEL. I hаve enаbled students tо mаximise their оutcоmes аt аll оf these аssessment levels. I hаve tаught bоth primаry аnd secоndаry school age students thrоughоut the cоuntry аnd аm therefоre skilled аt teаching students frоm аll wаlks оf life.

I wаnt аll students tо hаve the оppоrtunity tо аchieve аnd I hаve prоfessiоnаlly develоped tо be better plаced tо deliver high quаlity educаtiоn tо thоse with аdditiоnаl needs.

The sessions I run are specifically designed for each individual student. This considers the level they are currently working at, target grade, their areas for development and preferred learning style.

At GCSE and A level I build into each session past exam questions using the techniques learnt in the lesson. I teach all exam boards.

I am happy to set homework questions to build upon the skills covered and will mark and give feedback on any work completed. In addition, I provide a plan of work to be covered for the term/ year after consulting with students and parents.

I have been a Spanish tutor/ teacher for a few years now, I also lived in Spain on the Costa Blanca for sixteen years where i grew up speaking the Spanish language with fluency. During this time i taught at an International Language School in Spain and decided to return to the UK, where i was educated at Rugby School and then went on to obtain her degree in Spanish at the University of Chester.

Being forced to work at home during lockdown meant a change in my working practices. I have had the opportunity to develop my online teaching at KS3, GCSE and A level with positive feedback from my students and their parents. I can use a variety of learning platforms through which to teach the lesson, making the most of technology to model any of the topics being studied. I would be in the position to support students seeking to apply and sit Oxford entrance exams for these subject.

In 2010 I set up The Spanish Academy, offering Spanish tuition to adults & children of all ages, and also became a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists. I have taught in a variety of secondary schools across Norfolk & Cambridgeshire and specialises in Spanish GCSE & A level tuition. After ten successful years, i  now tutor online as well as face to face and teaching students from some of the UK’s top public schools such as Eton, Harrow & Radley.
